Assel Sapakova

Assel Sapakova is a well-known Kazakhstani entrepreneur, author, and publisher based in Almaty. She is the founder and director of Kazformoms Publishing, an independent publishing house focused on creating Kazakh-language and bilingual children’s educational literature. Her debut publication, the phrasebook “Мама, қазақша сөйлеші” (Mom, Please Speak Kazakh), became an instant bestseller. Unlike rigid academic textbooks, it prioritized colloquial, practical phrases meant for mothers to interact with children from infancy onward. Following her initial success, she wrote and produced several popular Kazakh children’s educational books and poetry collections, including: «Өс-өс, балам!» (Grow Big, My Child! — her popular collection of 50 nursery rhymes and poems) «Менің отбасым» (My Family) «Тамақ қайдан келеді?» (Where Does Food Come From?) «Жұмыртқадағы кішкентайлар» (The Little Ones in Eggs)
